A 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will be held at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor Wednesday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. The event will include keynote speaker 9/11 survivor Patrick Anderson. These iconic twin beams of light will shine brightly from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. (visible for a 5-mile radius) and will serve a beacon of reflection and remembrance. The 9/11 Memorial at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens is a one-of-a-kind memorial. A 150-pound piece of rusted steel beam, which was once part of the World Trade Center Towers, is its focal point. The memorial is constructed with nearly 30 tons of American granite and features an eternal flame at its base. Guests attending the 9/11 ceremony are encouraged to arrive early to ensure seating. The event will be held outside, so guests are also encouraged to bring sun protection. Water will be provided.
